Small batch primary fermentation, full secondary ML fermentation, then aged 11 months in French and Minnesota oak barrels. Blended with 6% Petit Verdot to add additional length and depth. Earthy, rich, and balanced; this wine drinks well now but will gracefully add complexity with age. Pair with Beef Stroganoff

Heavy shale and limestone slopes with south/southeast aspect between 1000'-1200' elevation. Dry farmed using sustainable practices.
Fermentation in tank with temperatures ranging from 82-90F. Extended maceration up to 2 weeks.
2015 was a good growing season in Virginia with consistently warm, dry weather throughout the season. The fruit came in with good phenolics and balanced chemistry. Red fruit came in with small berries, due to the lack water, resulting in rich, tannic wines.
