“Little Tuscany”

Exploring the food, wine and sights of the Northern Adriatic, Italy, and Slovenia

7 days | 6 nights
Trieste • Slovenian Wine Country • Ljubljana • Lake Bled • Lake Bohinj

Join John Delmare and daughter Teresa Delmare in May 2027 for a tour in what is often called “Little Tuscany”.

Arriving in Venice we’ll spend our first three nights in Trieste on the Adriatic Sea, exploring the Italian borderlands and perhaps the best coffee culture in Italy, before heading inland for three nights in Ljubljana, with adventures into the mountains and lakes of northern Slovenia. Slovenia may be one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. Think rolling vineyards that look like Tuscany, dramatic Alpine lakes, tiny medieval villages, incredible restaurants, fascinating wines, and a capital city that feels almost impossibly charming. And because Slovenia sits at the crossroads of Italy, Austria, the Balkans and Central Europe, the food, wine and culture change constantly as we travel.
